"To Make the Best Better"

4-H is a positive youth development program that empowers young people to be true leaders. It also provides life skills to lead, hands-on experiences, and is even university backed! Our purpose is to "engage youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development."

4-H serves youth throughout California in urban, suburban, and rural communities. In 4-H, youth design and participate in their own programs and activities. This unique learn-by-doing model teaches essential skills that youth will use throughout their lives, such as identifying sparks, desiring knowledge, setting goals, self-reflection, adapting to new situations, communicating, and responding to the needs of others.
